ADP helps support a community organization allied with World Neighbors benefitting some 8000 people in 6 villages. Our partner Chris Macoloo, World Neighbors’ Regional Director for Africa, trains and provides the tools for community members to generate more income, to enhance agricultural production, and to access health, education, and water. Chris Macoloo spoke at our Harambee in 2018. Funds were needed to strengthen savings and credit groups, which have grown with our support from 8 to 29, with 879 members, and for improved banana varieties and dairy goats.

The approach used by our partner World Neighbors is highly focused on long-term institution building at the local level. Community organizations identify their major problems and create their own life-changing, long-term solutions through programs in agriculture, literacy, water, health, and environmental protection. Several from our group have visited this project with Chris.
