African Development Partners
A Charlottesville faith collaboration for locally-empowered rural African development
About ADP
Since 1985 African Development Partners has supported specific, effective programs in East Africa that enable participants to grow more food, improve their health, education, and income, and care for the sick and orphaned. We have direct links with the leaders of these programs, many of whom have visited us over the years. This means that our supporters often feel a personal connection with those they are helping and are confident their donations are well used.
Our assistance goes directly to these programs. Since the beginning we have worked with World Neighbors (WN), an international development organization with several projects in East Africa. Over the years we have directed our funding to a particular project until it is well-established under local leadership and then moved on to another. From the beginning, we also supported a project led by the Rev. Peter Indalo, Oyani Christian Rural Services in western Kenya.
